Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun and Shade is a grass seeding product designed to fill in bare spots on your lawn. This seed thrives in various conditions, including full sun, dense shade, high-traffic areas, and slopes.
It combines high-performance grass seed with continuous-release lawn food and super-absorbent growing mulch. The product also contains a tackifier to help prevent seed wash-away and a protectant to help protect seedlings.
For best results, follow these three steps:
1. Prepare the area by removing dead grass and loosening compacted soil.
2. Apply the seed evenly, ensuring the area is mostly covered, but some bare ground remains visible.
3. Saturate the area with water until no more water is absorbed and the mulch turns dark brown.
Plant the seed in spring or fall when average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures between 60°F and 80°F.
